[L'ESTOILE (Pierre de)]. Memoirs for the History of France, containing the most remarkable events in this kingdom from 1515 to 1611, with portraits of the kings, queens, princesses and other illustrious figures mentioned therein. Cologne: published by the heirs of H. Demen, 1719. Two volumes in-8, contemporary havana calf, smooth spine, title label and volume number in red and fawn morocco, gilt compartments, gilt roulette on the edges, marbled edges. (minor defects, discolouration, creases, tears and wormholes).
An illustrated edition featuring a repeated frontispiece and 33 plates of portraits engraved on copper, most signed by Harrewyn.
