In-4, [4] leaves, 360 pp., [2] leaves, contemporary havana-coloured sheepskin, decorated ribbed spine, havana-coloured sheepskin title label, red edges (tears to the headbands, worn corners, occasional sporadic browning, rare water-stains on some margins, a square corner affecting some figures in Table I). Numerous tables, including 15 fold-out plates. Author’s signature on the title page. Provenance: De Caieu, in Abbeville; Ét. Gangloff, in Mulhouse (modern bookplates). Included: IRSON (Claude). *Pratique générale et méthodique des changes étrangers*. Paris: J. Jombert, 1687. In-4, [7 (of 8)] folios, 464 pp., [4] leaves, 1 large fold-out table as an insert, contemporary speckled fawn sheepskin, spine with 5 raised bands, garnet morocco title label, decorated panels, double gilt fillet bordering the covers, blind-stamped roulette on the edges, speckled edges (superficial rubbing on the spine and edges, 3 corners worn; the title page is missing – a modern copy is attached – , some browning). Bound at the end of this copy is an article by the same author, published in *Le Journal* on 31 March 1698, ‘Important Notice to Those Entering the Merchandise Trade…’, printed in Paris by Cusson, paginated [131]–142. Handwritten bookplate dated 1703 on the upper inside cover. Comprising 2 volumes.
