In-8, [5] leaves, 707 pp., contemporary speckled havana calfskin, spine with 5 raised bands, title label in fawn calfskin, decorated panels, marbled edges (a few defects including 3 blunt corners, slight worm damage to one cap; minute paper patches in some margins). Second and final edition, corrected and expanded by the author. Early handwritten note in the margin on p. 629. Provenance: Claude-Nicolas Amanton (1760–1835), lawyer at the Parliament of Burgundy (1788), mayor of Auxonne (1806–1811), journalist (ex-libris stamp on the title page and handwritten note on a flyleaf).
