In-8, [2] leaves, IV-410 pp., [1] leaf (errata), late 19th-century havana half-basane, smooth spine, gilt title and fillets, yellow edges (2 corners worn, some browning). A rare first edition, of which only 250 copies were printed, according to Quérard. Early handwritten corrections on pages 179, 282 and 322.
