Paris: Chez Louis, 1792. 8 vols. in-4, modern cardboard binding, modern black cloth spines, untrimmed (some internal defects including worm damage on pp. 120–160 of vol. 2, and in the margins of pp. 60–12 of vol. 4; very faint water stain on a few quires of vol. 1). The work is illustrated with 812 copper-engraved plates, of which 811 depict religious costumes and one plate features two plans. Continuous numbering of the plates for each volume, including plates 29 (a), 29 (b), 64 (a) and the plate of plans between pp. 120 and 121 in vol. 3, and plate 45 (a) in vol. 4. Text not collated. Each volume contains a table of chapters. Copy with full margins. Old stamp of a religious institution on the title pages.
