BARTHÉLEMY (Jean-Jacques). The Young Anacharsis’s Journey to Greece, around the middle of the fourth century before the Common Era. Paris, Imprimerie de Didot Jeune, Year VII [1799]. Seven in-8 volumes and a small folio atlas; the volumes are bound in full calfskin with smooth spines, title labels and volume number labels in red and green morocco; the atlas is bound in half calf with corner pieces (all missing), the spine matching that of the volumes. The atlas includes a portrait of the author engraved by Augustin St-Aubin, and comprises 38 of the 39 maps and plates (map 1 is missing: a general map of Greece with its colonies).
