[Binding with coat of arms]. ROYAL ALMANAC for the year M DCCC XXIX, presented to His Majesty. Paris, published by A. Guyot and Scribe, 1829. Large 8vo, contemporary fawn sheepskin, plain spine, red title label studded with fleurs-de-lis, crowned monogram in a fleur-de-lis motif, borders, all gilt; central coat of arms and scroll border on each cover, all gilt; gilt scroll with cut-out designs; marbled edges (one corner rubbed, small snags at the edge of a cap, moderate foxing and browning). A fine copy of this almanac bearing the coat of arms and cipher of Charles X, for the final year of his reign. Provenance: F. Jordan, at Le Vault, Yonne (label).
