In-4, XV-132 pp., figs., plates, azure half-percaline binding in the Bradel style with period corners, brown title label and gilt fleur-de-lis on the spine (slight rubbing, foxing). Illustrated with 350 figures in the text, and 144 colour figures on 16 plates. Included, in identical binding: [BROMME (Traugott). Systematic Atlas of Natural History for use in schools and by families... Brussels, Schnée, 1868]. Quarto, 84 pp., 36 colour plates (light stains on the plates). This copy is missing its title page, which has been replaced by a title page illustrated in watercolour, signed ‘L. Roger 1901’, followed by an original watercolour plate. That is, 2 volumes.
