In-16, half-calf with corner pieces, spine with 5 raised bands, title label in havana morocco, panels edged with a double gilt fillet, gilt fillet on the covers, head recessed, untrimmed, original cover preserved [Champs-Stroobants] (very slight rubbing to the top and bottom edges). Autograph dedication signed by the author to Gabriel Hanotaux. Provenance: Jacques-Émile Blanche (1861–1942), painter and writer, by descent.
