Description
[Jesuits]. [Jansenism]. [Miscellaneous]. LOT of 5 works comprising:

No place, no publisher, [1761]. 12mo, 48 pp., contemporary havana calf, spine decorated with raised bands, red edges (2 corners worn).
-[ALEMBERT (Jean Le Rond d’)]. On the Destruction of the Jesuits in France. By a disinterested author. No place, no publisher, 1765. 12mo, 233 pp., contemporary speckled sheepskin, plain spine decorated with grotesque motifs, gilt title, red edges (upper joint split).
Provenance: André Mater (20th-century stamp on title page).
-[Jansenism]. [REBOULET (Simon)]. History of the Congregation of the Daughters of the Infancy of Our Lord Jesus Christ, established in Toulouse in 1662 and suppressed by order of the Court in 1686. Amsterdam: F. Girardi, 1738. 2 volumes in-12, XII-334 + 336 pp., paperback, sewn with string, without cover or spine, with margins on all sides. (Some margins worn; pages torn without margins on vol. 2, pp. 105, 149 and 293). A new edition of this work, which was condemned by the Parliament of Toulouse on 25 May 1735. It appears under a false address and was undoubtedly printed in Paris. Founded in 1662, the congregation, suspected of being a Jansenist hotbed, was disbanded by order of Louis XIV in 1686.

First edition of this work, written in the form of a dialogue, on the controversy raised by Father Barthélémy Germon against Mabillon’s *Diplomatique*.
Provenance: Donatien Dujardin, priest (old signature on the inside front cover); another old signature on the title page.
