(ILE DE FRANCE-AISNE-75-02) Louis DENIS (1725–1794) – ‘The Road from Paris to Soissons...’ - 18th century. Engraving enhanced with watercolour on laid paper by Louis Denis in 1777, published in his famous collection of maps entitled *Le Conducteur français*. Engraved by Chalmandrier. The map begins in Paris (via the Saint-Denis / La Villette) and passes through key towns such as Le Bourget, Louvres, Dammartin-en-Goële and Villers-Cotterêts before reaching Soissons. (165 x 490 mm) - Condition A-. Map has a tear. Folding creases from printing.
