(ILE DE FRANCE-OISE-75-60) Louis DENIS (1725–1794) – “The Road from Paris to Beauvais...” - 18th century. Engraving enhanced with watercolour on laid paper by Louis Denis in 1776, published in his famous collection of maps entitled *Le Conducteur français*. Engraved by Chalmandrier. The map provides a detailed indication of the terrain (difficult stretches), the presence of forests (prone to attacks by highwaymen), the condition of the cobblestones and the exact location of the milestone markers.
