Engraving enhanced with watercolour on laid paper by Louis Denis in 1779, published in his famous collection of maps entitled *Le Conducteur français*. Engraved by Chalmandrier. The map begins in Dijon, the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, heading east (the present-day direction of the Porte Neuve) and ends in the city of Besançon in the Battant district or on the banks of the Doubs, opposite the Royal Citadel.
