(PYRENEES ATLANTIQUES-64) ANONYMOUS - “Basque Frieze” - 19th century. Gouache depicting folk motifs from the Basque Country and “Lauburus” Basque crosses. On Montgolfier laid paper – St Marcel – Les Annonay. Probably a preparatory sketch for the creation of a traditional Basque cloth. (660 x 755 mm) – Condition B. Signs of handling, surface scuffs, tears at the edges. Upper and left margins added.
