Description
(RHÔNE-ALPES–SWITZERLAND–69) Louis DENIS (1725–1794) – “The Road from Lyon to Geneva...” - 18th century. Engraving enhanced with watercolour on laid paper by Louis Denis in 1777, published in his famous collection of maps entitled *Le Conducteur français*. Engraved by Chalmandrier. The map begins in Lyon and follows the Rhône plain north-eastwards via Miribel and Meximieux, passing through the Pays de Gex via Collonges and Saint-Genis before ending in Geneva. (180 x 570 mm) - Condition A-. Map with margins trimmed. Folding creases from printing. A few foxing spots.
