(HISTORY) BLOEMAERT, Cornelis (1603–1692) – ‘Portrait of Jacques Favereau, French lawyer and man of letters’ – c. 1655. Engraving forming part of the work *Tableaux du temple des Muses* by Michel de Marolles, published in Paris. The inscription at the bottom was written by Abbé de Villeloin, praising Favereau’s wit and eloquence. (325 × 230 mm). Condition A: slight yellowing of the paper.
