Gilded bronze clock featuring a young woman draped in the classical style whilst reading; white enamelled dial with Roman numerals, signed ‘SCHOLLER’ in Paris, surmounted by a lyre and a crown; the lower section features a ribbon bow and an Athenian wreath with ribbons, the base decorated with a frieze of butterflies and garlands, with a wire-pendulum mechanism.
Date: early 19th century.
