‘Kple kple’ mask from the Baulé ‘goli’ ensemble. Côte d’Ivoire. Medium-hard wood, traces of blue, white, red and black pigments, imperfections, losses, erosion, patina from wear. H: 43 cm Lunar face painted black, adorned with two buffalo horns; the rim decorated with a frieze of triangles painted alternately in blue, white and red pigments.
