Description
OFFERING BEARER
A polychrome painted carved wooden statuette. She stands with her legs together, her arms pressed against her sides, her hands open at her sides; her skin is painted brick red, and she wears a kalasiris skirt falling to just above her ankles. Her chest is bare. She carries a basket balanced on her head.
Ancient Egypt, late First Intermediate Period, 11th Dynasty, c. 2160–2000 BC.
Two metal arrows curiously strapped to her skirt with a narrow strip of material.
