LARGE HALF-BARREL MASK from a cedarwood sarcophagus, stuccoed and covered with canvas, painted with a portrait of a woman wearing a nemes and a wide ousekh pectoral necklace across the upper body. Ancient Egypt, 23rd Dynasty, 945–715 BC. Height: 71 cm – Width: 43 cm (Missing sections, signs of wear, occasional restorations) Provenance: – Auction at the Hôtel des Ventes du Prado, conducted by auctioneers d’Authier de Sisgaw & Charriaud, 21 February 1976, lot no. 129. – C.
