LARGE SARCOPHAGUS MASK
carved and polychromed wood on a stuccoed papyrus-strip framework depicting a figure wearing a headdress, with the eyes and eyebrows inlaid with black coal-tar-like resin and ostrich eggshell for the whites of the eyes.
Ancient Egypt, Late Period, 26th Dynasty, 664 to 525 BC.
