In the lower left-hand corner are three sleeping apostles, amongst them Saint Peter armed with a sabre and the beardless Saint John. In the background, Judas – whose tunic is rendered in translucent red enamel on a ground (probably gold) – holds the purse and leads the guards. Highlights in painted gold. Set against colourless fusing enamel on copper (salmon-coloured).
