After Girolamo CAMPAGNA (1549–1625) Ceres (Allegory of Peace). Figure in bronze, formerly gilded. Venice, 17th century. Height: 52 cm. On a square black marble plinth. (Minor imperfections, wear to the patina).  Description: This model is based on the marble sculptures of Peace and War by Girolamo Campagna, situated above the Porta al Senato in the Sala delle Quattro Porte of the Doge’s Palace in Venice. A figure of the same design is currently held at the MET Museum in New York (Inv. No. 14.40.692).
