Description:
This model is based on the marble sculptures of Peace and War by Girolamo Campagna, situated above the Porta al Senato in the Sala delle Quattro Porte of the Doge’s Palace in Venice. A figure of the same design is currently held at the MET Museum in New York (Inv. No. 14.40.692).
