FREESTANDING CHEST
A rectangular chest with side handles, made of oak, featuring moulded and carved decoration on each side in the form of cartouches, and the edges adorned with friezes of laurel leaves. The hinged lid reveals an interior with a side compartment and ornate hinges; it is topped by a small compartment containing a compartment with the date ‘1740’ inscribed on the inside.
