BREAD CHEST
Carved from wood, with the front and sides featuring openwork balusters. The front opens via a door panel adorned with an openwork lyre. The pediment features architectural decoration reminiscent of a Romanesque church pediment, with movable faux bells and a balustrade. The straight moulding is decorated with plant motifs and carved with the inscription: “Joseph Viaud”.
Regional furniture, western France, possibly Brittany or the Vendée. 19th century.
