TOP OF THE TABERNACLE
Carved and gilded wood, in the shape of a temple with a curved pediment, resting on six twisted Solomonic columns housing niches. Cherub heads emerging from the lower section.
Spain, 17th century.
The central section was later adorned with a detached figure of Christ the Saviour of the World, carved from wood and gilded.
