First edition: illustrated with a fold-out frontispiece by Salvador Dalí. Limited edition of 115 copies: one of the 100 on vellum (no. 57). Autograph dedication signed on the half-title page: to Monny de Boully / his friend / Paul Éluard A Franco-Serbian poet, Monny de Boully (1904–1968) was close to the Surrealists. He was also related to the Lanzmann brothers: Claude mentions him in his memoirs (*Le Lièvre de Patagonie*).
