First edition. Limited edition of 350 copies: copy no. 3 on glossy coated paper. 10 full-page reproductions of works by Max Ernst, including the colour frontispiece. The cover also features a mounted reproduction of a collage. A delightful binding by Jacqueline Liekens, a pupil of Micheline de Bellefroid at La Cambre and author of an authoritative essay published by Faton in 2010: *La Reliure, technique et rigueur*. The top margin of the title page has been trimmed without affecting the text.
