Description
Insolations. Montpellier, Fata Morgana, 1968. 3 in-4 volumes, loose-leaf, in the publisher’s lace-up folders with labels on the front cover. Complete collection of the journal founded by Bernard and Martine Dufour. It was printed using the ‘insolation’ technique, inspired by a process used for architects’ building plans. Texts by Michel Butor, Jean-Pierre Faye, Claude Ollier, Maurice Roche, Pierre Guyotat, Denis Roche, Romain Weingarten and Kateb Yacine, illustrated by Pierre Alechinsky, Bernard Dufour, Jacques Hérold, Matta, Ipousteguy, Wifredo Lam and François Lunven. The print run was limited to 130 copies for the first volume, then to 200 for the following two, all numbered and signed by the contributors. An autograph letter signed by Michel Butor to Capucine Thibault is included inside the portfolio of the first volume.
