Description
Henri MICHAUX. Untitled. [Paris, E. Desjobert for Le Point du Jour, 1948]. Original lithograph (32 x 27 cm), framed.
A fine original lithograph in black. One of two proofs on waste vellum, with no inscriptions, from the René Bertelé collection.
Printed in an edition of 20 copies, plus three additional proofs.
Rainer Michael Mason and Christophe Cherix note that this lithograph forms part of a set of three prints which “should be placed alongside the Meidosems”, this one in particular because it “employs the same technique of scraping the inked background”.
(Mason and Cherix, Henri Michaux, Prints 1948–1984, no. 17.)
