Towards the end of his life, he met Armande de Trentinan, daughter of Francis Ponge and secretary to Jean Dubuffet. Rodel then shifted the focus of his collection towards Dubuffet and sold a large part of his collection of Henri Michaux works to Jean Hugues, director of the Le Point Cardinal bookshop and gallery. I myself acquired this volume from Jean Hugues a few years ago. Pierre Chave.” (Chave exhibition catalogue, 2002, reproduced on page 4.)
