HERMES Paris. Printed silk twill carré, entitled ‘Casques et plumets’: in shades of gold, orange and black on a white background. Black border. Signed (J.Abadie) Julie Abadie. Label. "S" for Sale. 87 x 89 cm. Very good condition. This scarf pays tribute to French military history and, more specifically, to the ceremonial attire of mounted troops in the 18th and 19th centuries. Julie Abadie drew inspiration from the collections of the Musée de l’Armée (located at Les Invalides in Paris) to meticulously depict officers’ headgear and parade regalia.
