LANCEL. ‘B.Bardot’ bag: 32cm in misty green tweed (chlorophyll and turquoise), with a removable twisted handle in brown faux leather for carrying by hand, and a removable cross-body strap in embroidered faux leather for carrying over the shoulder. Lined in pink Vichy check, 4 interior pockets including 1 zipped pocket and the other 3 labelled: Saint Tropez, La Madrague and Place des Lices. Closes with a snap hook and braided ties holding a tassel, with gold-tone metal BB charms. 1 external pocket. Dust bag. H: 28 x W: 32 (measured at the top of the bag) x D: approx. 15 cm. In good overall condition, with slight discolouration. Launched by Lancel in 2010 in collaboration with Brigitte Bardot, this bag was designed without any leather or animal-derived materials, in strict accordance with the actress’s wishes, using organic cotton and faux leather. Each of the patch pockets inside the bag is embroidered or labelled with the name of an iconic location linked to Brigitte Bardot’s life and legend in the Var. It features the pink Vichy check that Bardot adored and a shoulder strap embroidered in the style of a guitar strap, paying homage to Brigitte Bardot’s passion for dance and the Gipsy Kings.
