Line cavalry sabre, Model AN XIII, modified in 1816. Leather-covered hilt with filigree. Brass mountings, four-pointed crossguard with three rounded points, hallmarked beneath the guard plate. Straight blade with double fuller, hallmarked ‘L’, with a point tapering towards the centre. Flat back with remnants of engraving from the Royal Manufactory of Klingenthal. Scabbard (oxidised) made of sheet iron with two bands. Lyre-shaped pommel. Length: 115 cm. A.B.E.
