Description
German artillery officer’s sabre. Handle covered in shagreen, with a filigree design. Brass fittings, single-bar guard in the Blücher style, lion’s head pommel with glass eyes, single-bar guard decorated with oak leaves and half-lobe guards featuring crossed cannons. Curved blade with fuller, hallmarked at the heel. Sheath of black patinated sheet iron with a single strap. Length: 95 cm. A.B.E. Circa 1880–1900.
