Holy See – Order of Saint Sylvester, founded in 1841, revised in 1905, set of Grand Crosses of the 2nd type comprising: the vermeil and enamel medallion, the two-part obverse centre, the inscription and the saint in gilded bronze, the reverse in enamelled gilded bronze, without a sash; the plate in silver chiselled with diamond-pointed patterns, the cross in vermeil and enamel, the inscription and the saint in gilded bronze (minor chips to the points), fastened with a swivel pin.
