Movement operational at time of catalogue writing. Winding crown missing. Case with wear scratches. Dial with visible discolouration between 8 and 9 o'clock. Since the launch of the Constellation collection in 1952, the case backs of all watches have featured the same emblem: that of an astronomical observatory. This motif, inspired by observatory competitions, represents the dome of an observatory surrounded by eight stars, a reference to Omega's eight victories in the annual chronometry competitions organised by observatories between 1945 and 1952.
