An 18k yellow gold quartz chronograph wristwatch with a Cartier gold buckle.
Introduced to the Cartier collections in 1989, the Tank Américaine draws inspiration from the design of the 1920s Tank Cintrée. In 1994, the first chronograph version appeared, fitted with a quartz movement developed by Piaget, reference 2312. Dubbed ‘Chronoreflex’, this movement—which combines a calendar and a chronograph—was invented in 1991 by Piaget. Towards the end of the 1990s, the reference 1730 succeeded the 2312. Fitted with the calibre 212P, this model remained in production until the 2000s.
