Within the world of the Omega Speedmaster Professional ref. 105.012-65, the reference 105.012 holds a special place as it is the model worn by the astronauts on the Apollo missions: the genuine ‘Moonwatch’.
The first Speedmaster to feature the word ‘Professional’ on the dial, our example is a 105.012-65 version, produced only between 1965 and 1966. With its famous ‘lyre lugs’, which have become the aesthetic hallmark of the Moonwatch, this iconic timepiece was acquired by its current owner some twenty years ago from a Parisian establishment that is a must-visit for collectors.
