VAN CLEEF & ARPELS No. B795 Circa 1970 18k yellow gold (750) table clock, rock crystal and gilded brass Case: round gold case set within a block of rock crystal, twisted bezel, numbered Dial: champagne-coloured, with applied cabochon hour markers, signed Van Cleef & Arpels Movement: mechanical, cal. Felsa 4105, signed ETS Worms Diameter: 35 mm Dimensions: approx. 13 x 3 x 10 cm Gross weight: 41.50 g. (total weight 421.20 g.) An 18k yellow gold, rock crystal and gilt metal clock, with a hand-wound movement signed ETS Worms. Bearing the signature ‘ETS Worms’ on its movement, this rock crystal table clock was most likely produced by the Parisian firm founded by Maurice Worms in 1926. Active as watchmakers and jewellers until 1976, Établissements Worms produced several watches and horological creations for prestigious houses, including Universal Genève and Cartier. The ‘ETS Worms’ signature appears on a few rare boudoir pieces crafted from ornamental stones in the 1950s and 1960s, often intended for jewellers on the Place Vendôme. Fitted with a Felsa 4105 calibre, this table clock is part of this exclusive and refined collection. This movement was also used by Établissements Worms in other creations supplied to Van Cleef & Arpels.   Bearing the signature “ETS Worms” on its movement, this rock crystal desk clock was most likely produced by the Parisian firm founded by Maurice Worms in 1926. Active as watchmakers and jewellers until 1976, Établissements Worms produced several watches and horological creations for prestigious houses, including Universal Genève and Cartier. The “ETS Worms” signature appears on a small number of rare boudoir pieces crafted from ornamental hardstones during the 1950s and 1960s, often intended for the jewellers of Place Vendôme.
