Note: Anna Bacchelli (1898–1975), better known as Orisa, was an artist from Turin who made her mark on the jewellery scene of the local upper middle class. After attending the Academy of Fine Arts, she learnt the art of jewellery-making from her husband. Her sensitivity to nature is evident in her organic designs, which feature pearls and coral.
Playing with asymmetry, irregular shapes and textures, Anna Bacchelli reimagined the styles of the 1950s, creating unique pieces of great precision.
