ELISABETH GAGE PAIR OF EAR CLIPS In yellow gold, each set in a bezel with a silver drachm, one depicting Alexander III ‘the Great’ and the other Philip III Arridaeus, accented with circles of smooth and twisted yellow gold surmounted by yellow gold beads. Signed and monogrammed. A pair of 18k gold ear clips, set respectively with a silver drachm of Alexander III ‘the Great’ and a silver drachm of Philip III Arridaeus, by Elisabeth Gage. RC: The Alexander III ‘the Great’ drachm struck at Kolophon under Antigonus I Monophthalmus, circa 310–310 BC. The Philip III Arridaeus drachm, struck at Kolophon and retaining the Alexander III design, circa 322–319 BC. Dimensions: 3 x 3 cm. Gross weight: 31.4 g (18k – 750).
