CARTIER Elegant foliage brooch, made to order Crafted in platinum for a client, this botanical brooch features undulating, openwork leaves, the whole set set with 8/8 diamonds, baguette, old-cut and marquise diamonds totalling approx. 5.50 carats Signed Cartier on the setting, CSA master’s mark Circa 1940 D: 5.2 cm x 3.2 cm Weight: 20.50 g (Platinum-950/1000 & 18K gold pins-750/1000) Condition: Good condition Accompanied by an IAJA XP3063-150626 certificate of authenticity stating that the brooch is a Cartier Paris creation, made to order, and a pouch. Family provenance: This piece comes from the estate of Mrs Claire Yvonne Tricoche, née Frêne, who is described as one of the iconic models and muses of the French fashion designer Jean Patou in the 1930s. It has remained in the same family ever since.
