A blue-and-white porcelain bowl, known as ‘Hue blue’, decorated with a princess and her maid in the royal palace beneath weeping willows. Four-character mark in white relief beneath the base: “Noi Phu Thi Doài”, meaning “Inner Palace, Western Enclosure”. Made in China for Vietnam, second half of the 18th century. Diameter: 13 cm. Height: 6.5 cm. (Chips, hairline cracks, network of crazing). Bowl decorated with a princess and her attendant in the royal palace beneath weeping willows. Marked “Noi Phu Thi Doài” in white clay, West Royal Palace, 18th century, diameter 14 cm.
