A blue and white porcelain bowl, known as ‘Hue blue’, decorated with stylised cloud motifs. The background is adorned with clouds within a double circle. A blue underglaze mark comprising four characters, ‘Nội Phủ Thị Trung’ (meaning ‘Inner Palace of the Central Enclosure’), is inscribed beneath the foot. Incised collector’s mark. Made in China for Vietnam, late 18th century. Diameter: 14.6 cm. Height: 7.8 cm. (Chips, pitting). Bowl decorated with clouds on the exterior and with clouds arranged within a double circle on the interior base. Marked ‘Nội Phủ Thị Trung’ (Main Royal Palace).
