A blue-and-white porcelain dish, known as ‘Hué blue’, decorated with a fisherman in a lakeside landscape by moonlight, and a poem written in Nôm script: “Fishing for the moon on the autumn river, wild geese in flight”.
Blue underglaze mark consisting of four characters: “Dai Minh Tu Duc”, meaning “Made during the reign of Tu Duc”.
Made in China for Vietnam, late 19th century.
