Two blue-and-white porcelain bowls, known as ‘Hue blue’, decorated with two scholars in a lakeside landscape, featuring a calligraphic poem: ‘一枕松风值万钱, 爱陶珍藏’, which translates as: “A pillow in the pine breeze is worth ten thousand gold coins. A lover of pottery, a precious collection”. Apocryphal four-character mark “Dai Minh Tu Duc 大明嗣德” in blue underglaze.
Made in China for Vietnam, 19th–20th century.
