Folio in the publisher’s slipcase, entirely lined with burgundy velvet; (44) leaves, including 1 blank, 18 plates in the publisher’s cardboard folder. FIRST EDITION containing 18 colour LITHOGRAPHS by Salvador DALI, signed on the plate and marked with a dry stamp bearing the publisher’s name. The COPPER PLATE, struck from an original work by Dalí and inserted into the front cover of the slipcase, is removable. It can be removed to reveal, via a double-bottomed mechanism, the same motif gilded with a pendulum. Limited edition of 4,980 numbered copies on fine Arches vellum, each inscribed in pencil with ‘Exemplaire H.[ors]-C.[ommerce]’.
