Light cavalry officer’s sabre, Model 1822, the three-branch hilt in gilded bronze, partially chased with foliage motifs; the tang in wood, leather-wrapped and filigree-decorated; the curved blade with hollow edges and a single cutting edge, signed on the back ‘Coulaux Ainé & Cie à Klingenthal’. With its steel scabbard featuring two suspension rings. The scabbard is oxidised. Made in Klingenthal, during the July Monarchy, circa 1838. L. 83 cm (blade). L. 99 cm (overall).
