Mounted Artillery Officer’s Sabre, Model 1829, with a single-branch hilt in gilded bronze, partially chased with friezes of laurel leaves, the tang in fluted and filigree-worked ebony, the pommel with a short tail decorated with two crossed cannons surmounted by a cockerel, the blade in curved steel with hollow edges and a single cutting edge. With its scabbard featuring two suspension rings. Dated to the July Monarchy period, circa 1830–1848. The blade is unsigned. L. 81 cm (blade). L. 95 cm (overall).
